New Careers Area Launched

We’re pleased to announce the release of new and improved online careers resources. The new area covers the huge variety of job types within arboriculture, qualifications and study, career progression, a directory of education providers and the new Young Arborists Blog.

As ever we welcome feedback and ideas for potential improvements to the area. We’re already looking at potential video and case studies resources to include.

Mike Raupp – Talking Trees

New ‘Talking Trees’ Video Series

At this year’s Conference we interviewed several speakers to find out what inspires them about trees and some of the issues they think we should be focusing on as an industry.

We kick off the series with the excellent Professor Mike Raupp from the University of Maryland.

Arboricultural Association Website and Facebook Traffic Records

The Arb Approved Contractor and Registered Consultant Directories have now hit 10,500 page views per month (November 2016 – November 2017).

While Facebook followers have grown by 3,625 (to 9,341) in the same period, we appear to be reaching more professionals and members of the public this year with the Help and Advice and Training web pages both averaging over 6,000 views per month. After a 96% increase in ARB Show visitors, almost 2,000 training course delegates, 500 new members and 200 new students joining the Association it looks like being one of our most successful years with plenty for us to build on in 2018…
